Trump once again hinted at the need for Zelenskyy to step down and called for elections to be held in Ukraine

The U.S. president stated that Zelenskyy does not want to end the war. At the same time, he noted that Putin is ready to sign an agreement.

The American leader once again called for elections to be held in Ukraine. He made this statement during a conversation with reporters.

What did Trump say?

The U.S. president has once again made a series of absurd statements. Following an agreement with Putin on Russian diesel fuel supplies, Trump has once again lashed out at Ukraine. He criticizes its leadership for its unwillingness to end the war, while allegedly defending a war criminal in the Kremlin.

The American leader believes that Russia would like to reach an agreement. Trump did not specify the terms of such an agreement.

The U.S. president is convinced that the issue of the Russian-Ukrainian war could have been resolved many times already. However, he believes that Zelenskyy did not want to negotiate a ceasefire.

Well, I think he (Zelenskyy – Channel 24) should hold elections, and he could have resolved this issue a long time ago. And he should hold elections, and he can’t raise oil prices. He’s already done enough,
– Trump said cynically.

The American leader also praised the Russian dictator for being willing to sell oil to the world. He noted that Putin is willing to do so at low prices. The U.S. president also said that Putin wants to reach agreements. In his speech, the U.S. president did not explain why the Russian president had rejected many of the U.S. proposals.

It’s worth recalling that this sharp shift in rhetoric occurred after Putin and Trump agreed on Friday, October 9, to partially ease sanctions. Specifically, the U.S. president instructed the Treasury Department to issue a temporary license that would will allow Russia to bring more than one million metric tons of diesel fuel to market.

The day before, on Saturday, October 10, Donald Trump, while speaking with reporters, accused Volodymyr Zelenskyy of being unwilling to end the war. According to the U.S. leader, The Ukrainian president is allegedly trying to create problems for the entire world and for American farmers by continuing to strike Russian oil refineries.
