"We are ready, but we do not want to," Putin said regarding the possibility of war with Europe

Vladimir Putin stated that Russia does not seek military conflict with European countries. At the same time, he said, Moscow is prepared for war and will respond to provocations in the Baltic Sea region.

The Russian dictator is quoted by Russian propaganda media, including TASS.

Putin threatened Europe with war

According to Russian media reports, the Kremlin’s rhetoric touched on the security situation in the Baltic Sea. Putin drew an analogy with the war in the Middle East and emphasized his desire to avoid a repeat in the Baltic of the problems seen in the Strait of Hormuz.

At the same time, he issued a warning that Russia would respond in the event of any provocations against it.

“We are ready, but we do not want to,” the dictator said regarding a possible war with European countries.

Putin also stated that if European leaders have not yet been able to achieve a “strategic defeat” of Russia, they are unlikely to do so by 2030.

Moreover, the Kremlin leader once again resorted to direct threats against the West. According to him, in the event of a direct military clash with Europe, “there will be no winners,” adding that Europeans “should not forget this.”

Incidentally, on October 26, a multinational NATO brigade in Latvia launched the Resolute Reforger 2026 exercises – the largest in the history of training in force deployment.

Approximately 3,000 military personnel are participating in the exercises, which will last until November 8 and cover the country’s key logistics routes.
