The Republicans Are Losing: Will Trump Accept the Results of the US Election?

Analysts had warned of the risk that Trump might not accept the Republicans' defeat in the U.S. congressional elections. There was even talk of a violent scenario. However, it appears that things will unfold much more peacefully.

Yuriy Romanyuk, head of the civic organization “Ukraine in NATO,” spoke about this on 24 Channel. According to him, the voting results clearly showed that supporters of radical policies are in the absolute minority. And any aggressive actions on Trump’s part would lead to catastrophic consequences for him.

Why won’t Trump resort to a violent scenario?

As Romanyuk emphasized, the likely loss of control over the House of Representatives and the Senate would be a serious blow to Trump’s team, which refused to believe the polls until the very end. At the same time, an attempt to retain power in this way would result in Trump’s immediate impeachment and criminal prosecution.

Apparently, the Republican’s lawyers and inner circle dissuaded him from the idea of declaring a state of emergency in time. If he were to paralyze government institutions or attempt to forcibly overturn election results in key states, even his own party members might turn against him.

He may have been warned that if he continued this farce and brought the country to the brink of civil war, it would result in his immediate removal from office. He would be forcibly removed, and then he would also face criminal prosecution,
– Romanyuk noted.

A telling example occurred in South Korea, where the head of state, after declaring a state of emergency, quickly lost his position due to impeachment and ended up behind bars. Given these risks to himself and his family, Trump will be forced to concede defeat and compromise.

Earlier, an analyst explained whether the Democrats could launch an impeachment based on the results of the U.S. congressional elections. Although the Democrats are winning, it’s not that simple.
