Trump announced a meeting
Donald Trump stated that work is currently underway to organize further talks regarding the war.
“I think we’re making significant progress with Russia on the issue of Russia and Ukraine. A meeting will be organized very soon, and I think significant progress has been made,”
the U.S. president emphasized during a press briefing.
When reporters asked for clarification on exactly what meeting was being referred to, he pointed to a dialogue between the leaders of Ukraine and Russia.
“With President Putin and President Zelenskyy,” the U.S. leader replied.
As a reminder, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin recently once again proposed to Volodymyr Zelenskyy to hold talks in Moscow, promising to guarantee his safety. At the same time, the Kremlin believes that direct contact between the presidents would only make sense at the final stage of the negotiation process.
