FC Olympic

Olimpik – a football club from Donetsk. Its founding date is considered to be 2001, when the Donetsk Regional Football Development Fund was created in the city. Vladyslav Helzin became its president.

At first, the team competed in youth competitions. In 2004, "Olimpik" took part in the First League competition, where it played until 2012. In the same year, having won the championship, the club rose to the First League, where it spent two seasons. In 2014, "Olimpik" made its debut in the UPL, where it still plays.

Club president Vladyslav Helzin was an outfield player and took part in official matches for the club. He is the oldest goal scorer in UPL matches, having scored against "Illichivets" on November 22, 2014. Helzin was then 41 years and 87 days old.
