Lilia Khalaman

Holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in religious studies from the National University "Ostroh Academy". 

I have been working in journalism since 2022: I started at the local outlet "Raion.Dubno" and later joined the thematic media outlet "Biznes.Raion". I also wrote for the outlet "Horyn Info". I had a publication in "Dzerkalo Tyzhnia". 

I have experience writing analytical texts about the agricultural sector and green energy, as well as historical reports in which I debunked Russian myths about southern Ukraine. 

I took part in the seminar "Fact-Checking Practice in Ukraine: Opportunities and Prospects", the online training "Historical Fact-Checks", a rhetoric seminar, the two-day training "The EU: Simply About the Complex. Vinnytsia Region", the MediaDim educational program on sustainable development for local journalists, and completed the "News Journalism" course. 

I am a lecturer at the School of Journalism in Lutsk. I work with journalistic materials of various genres, edit texts and do photography. I have done one investigation. I am most interested in business and history topics. 

I worked at Channel 24 until July 2026, where I wrote news about international politics and Russia's war against Ukraine, and covered their impact on society. In addition, I worked with expert commentary to explain complex topics to Ukrainians in a simple and accessible way.
