Mike Woltz

Mike Waltz was born on January 31, 1974, in the town of Boynton Beach, Florida. Waltz earned a bachelor's degree with honors and an initial officer commission as a second lieutenant in the US Army armored forces.

Waltz gave 27 years to the American military and holds the rank of colonel in the Maryland National Guard. The former serviceman also turned out to be a good businessman. He co-founded the defense consulting company METIS Solutions, which conducted trainings and prepared analytical reports.

Back in 2022, Congressman Waltz was an ardent and consistent supporter of aid to Ukraine. However, by the spring of 2024, Congressman Waltz was among those who blocked the allocation of a 61 billion dollar American aid package to Ukraine.

Waltz is a member of Trump's team and is known as a critic of Biden's strategy on Ukraine. Waltz supports the idea of ending the conflict in Ukraine, calling for greater involvement of European countries in this process.

After winning the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump appointed him as his adviser. However, within a few months, in May 2025, he dismissed him from this post.
