I write on how to say things correctly in Ukrainian – names of plants, animals, countries, idioms, calques from Russian, about the dialects of Ukraine and interesting forgotten Ukrainian words. I examine the origin of a word, its meaning, examples from literature, and select synonyms from dialects.
