Public Radio

Hromadske Radio is an independent, nonprofit news and talk radio station and multimedia platform created by journalists to provide the public with objective information. The broadcaster operates free from political or oligarchic influence, focusing on the protection of human rights, the development of critical thinking, and coverage of the most important events in Ukraine and around the world. The main broadcast format is Talk Radio (News & Talk). Having begun its history back in 2002 on the initiative of Oleksandr Kryvenko, the revived Hromadske Radio has earned a high level of trust from its audience. Every hour from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Hromadske Radio broadcasts breaking news, as well as in-depth analytical segments, special projects on the war, and reports from frontline regions. The music programming serves as a harmonious complement: high-quality Ukrainian and international music is played at night and between programs. The broadcast schedule features popular programs and Hromadske Radio’s original podcasts. These include the evening talk show “Hromadska Hvylia,” the analytical segment “Rannkova Hvylia,” the human rights project “Free Our Loved Ones,” as well as the programs “Drive Time” and “Armed with Facts.” Well-known journalists and hosts work on the station, including Andriy Kulykov, Viktoria Yermolaeva, Tetiana Kurmanova, Anastasia Bagalika, Larysa Denysenko, and Vasyl Shandro. Hromadske Radio can be heard in many regions of Ukraine. In Kyiv and the surrounding region, Hromadske Radio broadcasts on 99.4 FM; in Kramatorsk, it broadcasts on 103.2 FM. In addition, the station’s coverage extends to frontline and regional areas in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
