Recommended stations
Radio Jazz Ukraine is the only station on the Ukrainian airwaves entirely dedicated to sophisticated jazz music. Founded on May 15, 2019, by the TAVR Media media group, the station broadcasts under the slogan “Be Yourself.” It caters to discerning listeners who appreciate an atmosphere of freedom, high-quality instrumental performances, and profound musical improvisations.
The station’s musical format combines golden classics, contemporary smooth jazz, blues, soul, funk, and bossa nova. The airwaves feature both global legends (Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis) and contemporary artists (Dianne Krall, Michael Bublé, Sade, Norah Jones), as well as the best representatives of the Ukrainian jazz scene. An important part of the programming consists of unique jazz cover versions of well-known pop and rock hits.
The programming schedule offers listeners interesting original segments: “Jazz Legend,” “Jazz Concert,” an evening of relaxation on “Summertime,” the film review “Camera! Action! Jazz!” and the history of iconic tracks in the “Radio Jazz Standards” program.
