The President of Ukraine announced this during a conversation with journalists following the talks in Oslo on October 19.

What results is Zelenskyy hoping for?

According to Zelenskyy, his conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was substantive and constructive. Following the discussion, the parties have already outlined next steps.

As reported by The Guardian, the head of state emphasized that direct contact with the Secretary of State has become the appropriate channel for addressing “sensitive issues.” Specifically, this concerns the supply of interceptor missiles for the Patriot system, the exchange of intelligence, and the operation of Starlink in Ukraine.

“We may have a result within 48 hours,” the president noted.

When asked by journalists about his confidence in reaching agreements with Donald Trump, the Ukrainian leader responded diplomatically. Zelenskyy once again highlighted the importance of cooperation with the United States.

Zelenskyy also expressed hope for continued dialogue with the U.S. Secretary of State, particularly within the next 48 hours.

As a reminder, the U.S. resumed providing intelligence information to Ukraine. Specifically, this involves early-warning systems that allow for the timely detection of Russian ballistic missile launches.
