Zaporizhzhia Basketball Club

A Ukrainian basketball club from Zaporizhzhia, founded in 2014.BC Zaporizhzhia was created on the eve of the 2014/15 season. The club got this name because its main goal was the development and popularization of city basketball in Zaporizhzhia, with the focus on local players. Yehor Bolshakov became the team's head coach, and Kyrylo Viktorov its coach.

The core of the newly created team consisted of graduates of Youth Sports School No. 12, who had previously played in the First League and the Zaporizhzhia championship, joined by several more experienced graduates who had already played for Ferro-ZNTU.

The players trained on a professional basis, twice a day. The vast majority of players were students, so the first training session was held before classes and the second after they ended. The club's task, as outlined by the head coach, was "to give the opponent a fight in every single game".

BC Zaporizhzhia managed to play 18 games in the championship, winning 9 and losing 9, and before being withdrawn from the championship it was in 4th place in the standings.
