Donald Trump's approval rating continues to fall ahead of the congressional elections. If the Democrats manage to secure a majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate, the U.S. president will face problems.

Ivan Us, chief consultant at the National Institute for Strategic Studies, spoke about this on 24 Channel. According to him, projections indicate that the Democratic Party has a strong chance of winning a majority in the House of Representatives. As for the Senate, the situation remains unclear, but the Democrats have every chance of winning there as well. A telling indicator is the situation in Texas – a traditionally Republican state where, according to polls, the Democratic candidate is currently leading.

Trump May Face Trouble

As Us emphasized, Donald Trump faces three "problematic threes" that will determine his future political fate. The first is November 3, when the election ends. The second is January 3, the day the new Congress is inaugurated. And the third is a possible impeachment process.

Trump’s approval rating is already at a record low. The media cite figures ranging from 31% to 36%.

What’s most interesting about this situation? In one poll, Americans were asked whether they support Trump’s impeachment. 54% of respondents said yes. It’s clear that most Democrats would agree with this idea. However, even among Republicans, about 25% said they also support this ideaUs noted.

Quite a few Republican supporters are disappointed with Trump’s foreign policy moves – in particular, his approach to Russia and his stance on China.
