Donald Trump announced that he is working with both Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin to bring the war to an end as quickly as possible. He noted that he has details that have not been made public and plans to disclose them at a later date.

The U.S. president made this statement in response to questions from journalists.

Trump on the Leaders of Ukraine and Russia

Trump drew attention to the scale of military casualties in Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to him, an average of 25,000 soldiers die each month, and last month that number reached 32,000.

“I know the details, you understand? And at some point I’ll make them public – but I’m not interested in anything except one thing: I want this war to end,”
the American leader emphasized.

Trump also added that he is in contact with the leaders of both Ukraine and Russia, he said, for the sake of peace.

I’m in contact with both leaders. I think they also want this war to end. And I believe it will end. I’m interested in only one thing – I want this war to stop,
Trump concluded.

As a reminder, earlier a Sky News journalist asked Zelenskyy whether the U.S. President was trying to make him a "scapegoat" to shift attention from problems in his own country. After a pause, the Ukrainian president simply smiled and noted that this reaction was his answer.
