What did Lavrov say about the information war?

Moscow expects a significant increase in pressure on the international stage. The official expressed his conviction that the media confrontation will only intensify.

Lavrov specifically addressed the actions of Western countries and assured that the struggle will not end anytime soon. “This information war [24 Channel] will continue, and I would even say it is likely to intensify,” the minister emphasized.

At the same time, the Russian foreign minister expressed dissatisfaction with the stance of European countries, noting that Europe, he said, continues to completely ignore the causes of the conflict surrounding Ukraine.

In his view, there are currently no signs of any change in the European partners’ attitude toward Moscow.

According to the minister, European institutions continue to regularly adopt documents and issue public statements that exclusively condemn Russia’s actions.

As a reminder, Lavrov previously stated that Moscow is ready to conclude economic agreements with the U.S., but will not agree to political concessions. At the same time, U.S. presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner plan to visit Moscow for talks.
