Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced this during a conversation with journalists, according to The Guardian.

What was discussed in Oslo?

The parties focused on Ukraine’s security. The agenda also included a plan for the country’s post-war prosperity.

In addition, a set of issues related to territorial matters was brought up for discussion. The fourth key point was further measures regarding sanctions against Russia.

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre described the meeting as “positive” and emphasized that Oslo remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine.

“We have always made it clear: no decisions regarding Ukraine will be made without Ukraine’s participation,”
– Gahr Støre emphasized.

He also thanked Donald Trump’s special representatives for their participation in the talks.

We are convinced that peace is possible and necessary – for Ukraine, for Europe, and for the entire world. Today we held, I would say, good and constructive talks, which were necessary in light of the events of the past week. We agreed that cooperation is extremely important,
– the Norwegian prime minister emphasized.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Norway for hosting the talks. He also expressed gratitude to Finnish President Alexander Stubb for his involvement in this process.

The Ukrainian leader noted that these talks with the U.S. were “important” because all parties need to “continue negotiations at all levels and work together on the solutions necessary to end the war.”

“We are working to find a solution. I believe we have clear ideas on how to achieve peace, and we stand united with our European partners in these efforts, and we want the Americans to convey these ideas to the Russians,”
– Zelenskyy emphasized.

He also stated that he is seeking a trilateral meeting between the presidents of Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia, as there are issues that can be resolved “only by leaders.”

Finnish President Alexander Stubb, for his part, spoke of “real” progress in the negotiations on two levels – short-term and general.

“We have identified some elements of peace that will be conveyed to St. Petersburg tomorrow,”
Stubb said.

He clarified that, based on the talks in Miami, the parties focused on key issues: air defense, energy, and a ceasefire, particularly in the areas of energy and food security.

As a reminder, Zelenskyy also stated that Russia rejected the proposal for an “energy truce.” Despite this, Ukraine and its partners are seeking a solution.
