Zelenskyy explained why Ukraine has begun to speak more openly to the world

The President of Ukraine spoke about this during a speech at the Hudson Institute.

The Importance of Partnership and Dialogue

The Head of State emphasized the importance of relations with the U.S. for global security. He stressed Ukraine’s desire for a strong and friendly partnership with America, free of misunderstandings.

“Without a strong America that cares about what is happening in the world, the world would undoubtedly be a worse place,”Zelenskyy remarked.

The President also explained that open and candid communication helps other nations and societies better understand what Ukraine is striving for.

We want to be understood – by societies, nations, and as many people as possible. When people understand what is really happening, political leaders can choose a stronger path – one that can truly bring peace closer. And peace is what we want more than anything– Zelenskyy emphasized.

Earlier, Western media reported that diplomatic circles were actively discussing the nature of the Ukrainian leadership’s public statements in the context of cooperation with partners. In particular, European Union leaders allegedly intended to persuade the Ukrainian leader to reduce public criticism of Donald Trump in order to maintain stable relations with Washington.
