Zelenskyy announced a new meeting with Trump's envoys in Europe

What is known about the upcoming meetings between Ukraine and Trump’s envoys?

We are preparing meetings in Europe with representatives of the U.S. president, as well as with our European partners. Europe must be involved in diplomacy. Ukraine always involves Europethe head of state emphasized.

The politician added that he hopes diplomatic efforts will continue next week.

As a reminder, on October 20, President Zelenskyy, leading a Ukrainian delegation, met with President Trump’s special envoys. The meeting focused on finding ways to end the war in Ukraine. The next day, Steve Witkoff traveled to St. Petersburg with the developed peace proposals to meet with Putin.

Following these meetings, the parties agreed to resume peace talks in the Ukraine–U.S.–Russia format.

The first round is scheduled to take place in early November.

Meanwhile, Europe also wants to be at the negotiating table. Screening of candidates for potential talks with Russia has already begun.

The allies have decided that the continent should be represented not by a single person, but by a group. Among the candidates mentioned are Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Czech President Petr Pavel, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Støre.
