Maksym Dzhygun, a political analyst and partner at the communications agency Good Politics, spoke about this on Channel 24. According to him, Trump has previously exerted pressure on Ukraine. But while those were isolated incidents back then, the pressure is now systematic.
Why is Trump blackmailing Ukraine?
As Dzhygun emphasized, the American politician’s statements are part of a planned strategy aimed at forcing Kyiv to capitulate to Russia’s demands. The pressure has now taken on a much more aggressive tone. Problems with intelligence data arise from time to time. Restrictions on Starlink’s operations have also been imposed.
Whereas previously these were merely attempts to see if anything would come of them, now it all looks like full-scale pressure intended to force Ukraine to yield to demands that we rejected long ago,

Such rhetoric is no longer linked exclusively to the U.S. election campaign. Trump’s attempts to blame Ukraine for America’s domestic problems – particularly high gas prices – have proven ineffective with voters.
What to Expect from the U.S. Election?
The analyst emphasized that the electoral situation in key states is not looking favorable for the Republicans. The House of Representatives will most likely go to the Democrats. As for the Senate, there are still questions, but things could also turn out well there for Trump’s opponents.
With his statements, Trump is no longer merely pretending to fight for the interests of Americans. He is, in fact, pursuing his own political agenda by trying to please Putin and force Ukraine to accept the terms offered by the Russians. And this is no longer just an attempt to temporarily appeal to his base. It looks more like a deliberate strategy on the part of the White House,

We should add that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the U.S. has taken several unfriendly steps toward Kyiv. These include restrictions on Starlink’s operations and delays in the delivery of missiles for the Patriot system. In fact, actions were taken in order to force Ukraine to surrender.
