Republicans Are Losing the House of Representatives: An Expert Assesses the Situation Ahead of the US Elections

Yuriy Romanyuk, head of the civic organization “Ukraine in NATO,” spoke about this on 24 Channel. According to him, a poll was released just today showing that the Senate is currently split 48 to 47 in favor of the Democrats. The fate of five more seats remains uncertain. There is a fierce battle going on for them.

As Romanyuk emphasized, this is precisely why Donald Trump visited three different states over the past 24 hours, where he urged voters to vote for Republicans. It is important for him to retain control of at least one chamber of Congress. There is still a chance of that happening, but the overall trend is negative.

The situation in the House of Representatives is extremely favorable for the Democrats. They could have literally a landslide victory. But there is still some uncertainty here.

Pollsters are still unable to predict the outcome of 17 seats. But even without them, the Republicans are in a virtually catastrophic situation. The count stands at approximately 195 to 238–239 in favor of the Democrats– said Romanyuk.
