Alexander Lukashenko

Lukashenko – the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, who has ruled the country since 1994. Since independence, Belarus has had no other head of state, which is why it is called "Europe's last dictatorship".

Lukashenko's policy is closely linked to Russia and Putin. In particular, he facilitated Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24 and provided Russia with the territory of Belarus for shelling and invasion.

In May 2023, there was talk of Lukashenko's serious illness, as he hardly appeared in public, and when he did appear – he looked very unwell.
