In recent weeks, Kyiv has on several occasions not received information from Washington about Russian ballistic missile attacks. On Sunday, October 22, the U.S. fully restored the ballistic missile early warning system for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian leader noted that there remains a shortfall in air defense capabilities in relations with Washington. The head of state spoke about this in an interview with TSN.

What did Zelenskyy say?
The president said that the U.S. has resumed issuing warnings about Russian ballistic missile launches. According to Zelenskyy, of the three problematic issues in relations with the U.S., the Ukrainian side has managed to fully resolve two. These are the full exchange of intelligence data on Russian ballistic missile launches and the stable operation of satellite communications.
He also reported that during a morning test on Saturday, the Starlink and Starshield satellite communications systems were operating at a speed of 420 kilometers per hour. Previously, the Ukrainian military was subject to a speed limit of 100 miles per hour, which is approximately 161 kilometers per hour.
At the same time, the shortage of air defense systems and ammunition for them remains a key unresolved issue for Ukraine’s defense.
The president explained that the delivery of missiles for the Patriot systems is proceeding too slowly due to constant changes in the agreed-upon schedules and quantities. Even other countries that are ready to transfer their missiles to Ukraine are facing delays. The deliveries require written approval from the U.S., which is being delayed, Zelenskyy emphasized.
As a reminder, on the night of October 19, Russian troops launched two waves of ballistic missiles at Kyiv. At that time, Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ignat noted that Ukraine had received intelligence data on ballistic missile launches only once from the U.S. Since then, Washington has failed to inform Ukrainian leadership of Russian shelling on several occasions.
