"Batkivshchyna" Political Party

The All-Ukrainian Union "Batkivshchyna" is the party of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko. The party was founded in 1999 and at that time positioned itself as social democratic.

In 2008, the All-Ukrainian Union "Batkivshchyna" became a member of the supervisory board of the "European People's Party".

The top ten of the "Batkivshchyna" party list in the 2019 parliamentary elections includes: Yulia Tymoshenko, Serhiy Sobolev, Serhiy Taruta, Valentin Nalyvaichenko, Olena Kondratiuk, Ivan Kyrylenko, Andrii Kozhemiakin, Hryhorii Nemyria, Serhii Vlasenko and Valerii Dubil.

The party's ideological principles today are centre-right politics, pro-Europeanism, liberal nationalism and populism.
