Ichnia

The town of Ichnia in Chernihiv region became known because at about 3 a.m. on October 9, 2018, a fire and explosions broke out at the 6th arsenal (military unit A-1479) of the Ministry of Defense. 

The arsenal was located near the urban-type settlement of Druzhba in Ichnia district of Chernihiv region.

Residents were evacuated from the surrounding villages and the town of Ichnia, airspace was closed within a radius of 30 kilometers, and road and rail traffic was restricted.

The fire at the depots was extinguished on October 28, 2018.
