Illarion Pavliuk

Illarion Pavliuk is a well-known Ukrainian writer who wrote the books "I See You Are Interested in Darkness", "White Ash", "Dance of the Fool" and "Emilia".

In 2015 he took part in the Russian-Ukrainian war as part of the volunteer battalion "Harpoon"; in 2022 he was mobilized into a unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR), and from 2023 to 2024 he served in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Illarion Pavliuk is married to Svitlana Tykhonova. The couple is raising four children. The couple went through a tragedy: their fifth child was born with a severe birth injury and died at the age of 5.
