The first President of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, agreed to head the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov supported Kravchuk's candidacy for the post of head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations on Donbas was the second President of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma. However, on July 28 he decided to leave the negotiation process. The media reported that it was due to his age.
