Maryinka

There were two battles for Marinka. The first was in 2014, the second in June 2015 and afterwards.

On the evening of January 26, 2015, a car with a suicide bomber exploded at one of the checkpoints near the town; 1 soldier was killed and 2 were seriously wounded – from the 28th Odesa Guards Mechanized Brigade.

In early June 2015, a battle took place near Marinka. According to a BBC News journalist, the clash was the largest since the signing of the Minsk-2 agreements in February 2015.

At first, pro-Russian terrorists captured part of the town, but Ukrainian troops drove them out.
