Russia's Sanctions Against Ukraine

A document listing individuals and legal entities against which Moscow is taking measures.

However, Putin's decree, which came into force on October 22, does not specify exactly what measures are involved. They are to be developed by the Russian government.

The decree was adopted in accordance with the Russian law "On Measures of Influence (Counteraction) to Unfriendly Actions of the United States of America and Other Foreign States".

According to this law, the Russian authorities have the right to respond to "unfriendly actions" in order to protect the sovereignty and interests of Russia, as well as the rights and freedoms of its citizens.

It is worth noting that it is difficult to determine the criterion by which people were selected for this list, since it includes a diverse range of people, some of them puzzling.
