The Death of Gennady Chastyakov

On November 6, it became known about the death of Zaluzhnyi's aide – Hennadii Chastiakov. According to the commander-in-chief, the major was celebrating his birthday, and an unknown explosive device went off in one of the gifts.

Chastiakov's wife clarified that her husband brought a gift bag containing shot glasses in the shape of grenades. An explosion occurred when the bag was opened.

Together with Chastiakov, his 13-year-old son Hlib was injured. The child received lacerations to the face.
