The Inter Scandal
A scandal has once again flared up around the TV channel "Inter".
On May 9, during a Victory Day concert, the "Inter" TV channel aired a segment in which presenter Andrii Domanskyi talked about streets in Ukraine being renamed "after fascist criminals".
Ahead of the broadcast, a video of this episode caused a considerable stir on social media.
On the morning of May 9, activists picketed outside the head office of "Inter" on Dmytrivska Street in Kyiv over the scandalous clip and demanded that the channel be stripped of its licence.
After the episode was nevertheless aired unchanged, representatives of nationalist organisations promised to picket not only the channel's office but also the homes of its owners.
