The KFC Scandal at the Trade Union House in Kyiv
In Kyiv, a KFC fast food restaurant was opened in the Trade Union House, which burned down during the Revolution of Dignity in February 2014. A number of activists believe that opening a fast food outlet in a building where people died is inappropriate. So on the night of November 22, activists, including members of the C14 organization, staged protests near the Trade Union House. In particular, they painted the KFC windows with the inscriptions "People died here" and "Where is your Dignity?". Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and detained 6 protesters, but later released them. At the same time, law enforcement officers used pepper spray on lawyer Masi Nayyem.
