The U.S. eavesdropped on Merkel
The US allegedly spied for many years on German Chancellor Angela Merkel, then Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and other politicians from Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and France. For this purpose, they used a Danish listening station.
This is stated in the results of an investigation by journalists from the Danish broadcaster DB (Danish Broadcasting), the German TV channels NDR and WDR and the newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung. They were presented on DB on May 30, 2021.
