Traffic Accident in Brovary

The tragic traffic accident in Brovary happened on September 26 at around 17:30.A drunk employee of the security police in an Opel crashed into a public transport stop. The car hit a married couple and a cyclist. The woman died on the spot, her husband and the cyclist were injured and hospitalized.

The employee of the security police department who caused the accident was detained. An alcohol test showed that the police officer had 1.7 per mille, almost 9 times the norm.

The entire leadership of the regional security police department was suspended from duty for the duration of the internal investigation.
