Train Accident in Kryvyi Rih
In Kryvyi Rih, on October 16, 2018, two trains collided in the Annivskyi quarry. Men aged 50, 48 and 35 were killed, and another 53-year-old man was injured. All the victims were employees of the enterprise.
The cause of the train collision was presumably brake failure in one of them. The diesel locomotive was heading into a dead end where another electric locomotive was standing for loading. A commission has been set up at the enterprise to establish the circumstances of the accident, and an investigation is underway.
