The Ukrainian and American teams are in constant contact and are preparing the next diplomatic steps. The President of Ukraine announced this on his Telegram channel.
New diplomatic steps are being prepared
During the talks, the parties discussed the results of recent consultations in Florida. The head of state emphasized the importance of a strong U.S. stance to end the war and underscored the need for cooperation.
“It is clear that there are many things that are important to us and that this war must be brought to an end. We are doing everything we can to achieve this. We are trying to ensure that America’s position is strong. Peace comes only through strength and sincere cooperation,”
” Zelenskyy said.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to Russia’s strikes on Ukraine, particularly on energy facilities. The president emphasized that the United States plays an important role in supplying components for the Patriot systems.
“We constantly keep our partners informed about the actual situation regarding Russian shelling, which hasn’t stopped for a single minute, and about air defense issues. A great deal depends on America’s stance here,”
” Zelenskyy added.
The Ukrainian side emphasized its readiness to act without delay and expects a similarly open approach from both European partners and representatives of the White House.
Consultations on Ending the War
Incidentally, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that an initiative is being prepared in Washington for a “ a possible trilateral meeting ” between Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the U.S. However, there is currently no confirmation that these talks will take place
As a reminder, the Ukrainian and U.S. teams have been in contact following recent consultations in Florida involving representatives from the EU and NATO. Zelenskyy announced negotiations, and the parties were supposed to agree on a new one.
