Zakharchenko's "Little Russia"

"Little Russia" – a mythical state whose founding was announced on July 18, 2017, by the leader of the Donetsk militants Oleksandr Zakharchenko.

According to him, "Little Russia" will become the legal successor of Ukraine, Donetsk will become its capital, while Kyiv will remain a historical and cultural centre without capital status.

The Luhansk militants have already denied their "participation" in "Little Russia".

For his part, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stressed that Zakharchenko is simply a "puppet relaying Kremlin messages".
