Oksana Melnychuk, a Ukrainian political analyst covering the French media, spoke about this on Channel 24. According to her, two parallel events actually took place in Paris.

What is the situation in France?

As the political analyst emphasized, the first event in Paris was a registered peaceful demonstration by high school students and French labor unions protesting the rising cost of living and fuel prices. It drew about 100,000 people.

At the same time, radical provocateurs from anarchist movements – comparable to Ukraine’s “titushki” – began to gather. They assemble in small groups and stage provocations and riots.

These are fully grown adults. They are over 20 years old. They identify themselves as immigrants from North African countries living in the suburbs of Paris. In fact, this is an organized anarchist group that even marched with Soviet flags. Sometimes they wore hammer-and-sickle badges. Only a lazy person would fail to see Moscow’s “hand” in this,
– the analyst noted.

All of this is part of Putin’s so-called “French special operation.” He failed to undermine Europe’s unanimous solidarity in supporting Ukraine. That is why they are now working to destabilize the internal situation in European countries.

Moscow’s Hand and “Useful Idiots”

The expert recalled a 2021 article by Putin’s ally Vladislav Surkov titled “Where Has the Chaos Gone?”, which details a blueprint for destabilizing European democracies.

Local French politicians play a special role here. Among them are the far-left politician Jean-Luc Mélenchon and the far-right Marine Le Pen.

Through Mélenchon, the Kremlin gives Le Pen an even bigger advantage. He openly declares that he is a Trotskyist; and permanent revolution is the goal of these “men in black.” Against the backdrop of this chaos, Marine Le Pen, dressed all in white, steps forward and says that the country is in danger and that she will save France. This is how the Kremlin uses its “useful idiots” – Mélenchon and Le Pen,
– said Melnychuk.

Earlier, due to the scale of the riots, President Emmanuel Macron held an emergency address to the nation and promised to severely punish the looters who instigated the unrest. He promised that there would be no impunity. As of the evening of October 18, 1,800 people had been detained in France.
