"Academician Vernadsky" Station

The Ukrainian Antarctic station "Academician Vernadsky" is located on Marina Point on Galindez Island. It is a meteorological and geographical observatory.

Ukrainian polar explorers conduct research in biology, meteorology and oceanography and study the effects of cold on the human body, changes in the Earth's magnetic field, the ionosphere and space.
