Africa

Africa is one of the seven continents of the world and the second largest by area. It belongs to the so-called "southern group". Most of it lies in the tropical zone, and only the northern territories are in the subtropics.

Africa borders Europe across the Mediterranean Sea and is connected to Asia by the Isthmus of Suez.

In total there are 57 countries here, but 3 of them are not recognised. The largest country on this continent is Algeria, the smallest is Seychelles.
