Anatoly Mogilev

Anatoly Mogilev is a police colonel general, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea during Yanukovych's rule.

Anatoly Mogilev heads the list of the "Independence" party in the 2019 parliamentary elections, which promises peace, the return of Crimea and Donbas, and a thorough investigation into the corrupt activities of the previous government.

It is worth noting that it was under Mogilev's leadership of the ARC that Russia was preparing to seize the peninsula while public attention was focused on the events in Kyiv. In addition, it was the position of the Crimean authorities of that time that provoked Crimeans not to accept the Revolution of Dignity. The Crimean "Berkut" of that time fought against activists on the Maidan, and in February 2014 a video featuring Mogilev, directed against Euromaidan, was regularly played on public transport. It was also during that period that the Crimean parliament began to talk about a possible change in the status of the peninsula and its "protection" by Russia if Euromaidan won.
