Border Closure

At the end of November 2023, Polish farmers began a blockade on the border with Ukraine. They are blocking the border because of imports of Ukrainian products and want the EU to reinstate duties on Ukrainian grain. Later they were joined by farmers from Romania, Slovakia and Hungary. 

The Polish authorities are distancing themselves from the protests. Ukraine, for its part, states that there is no justification for blocking the border.
