Burisma
Burisma Holdings is one of the largest private gas production companies in Ukraine. Its founder and ultimate beneficiary is Mykola Zlochevskyi. It is registered in Cyprus.
According to the Cyprus registry, the company's Board of Directors today includes, in particular, former President of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski, investment banker Alan Apter, former head of the CIA Counterterrorism Center Joseph Cofer Black and Mykola Zlochevskyi's daughter Karina.
Until recently, the Board also included the son of former US Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter.
On September 21, information emerged that in July, during a phone conversation, Donald Trump allegedly promised Volodymyr Zelenskyy that relations between the countries would improve if Ukraine resumed the investigation into the gas company Burisma. Hunter Biden, the son of Trump's main rival in the presidential race Joe Biden, is involved in the case. The investigation could negatively affect the rating of Trump's rival, which was called interference in the presidential race.
