Disability

Disability status is granted to people with serious impairments of bodily functions. Depending on the severity of the illness, in Ukraine disability of group 1, 2 or 3 is assigned. 

Previously, decisions on disability were made by Medical and Social Expert Commissions (MSEC), but they were abolished due to scandals. Now disability issues are decided by expert teams of practicing doctors in healthcare facilities.
