Earthquake in Morocco

On the night of September 9, Morocco was shaken by a powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.8.
It destroyed houses and damaged the historic defensive ramparts of the old city of Marrakech.
The number of victims and injured runs into the hundreds. As of the morning of September 9, more than 600 people are known to have died.
