
Germany's Controversial Statements
Amid the threat of a Russian attack, Germany made several scandalous statements about Ukraine. In particular, former German Navy commander Kay-Achim Schönbach said that occupied Crimea is supposedly "lost to Ukraine" and that joining NATO is impossible.In addition, Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder said that Russia is supposedly not an enemy of Europe and that sanctions are ineffective.
