A multinational corporation founded in Sweden in 1943 by local entrepreneur Ingvar Kamprad. The company designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories.
Since 2008, it has been the world's largest furniture retailer.As of November 2017, IKEA owned and operated 411 stores in 49 countries.
In September 2018, the company officially confirmed that it would enter the Ukrainian market. The first store in Kyiv is planned to open in the summer of 2019.
