Ivan Bubenchik
Ivan Bubenchyk was an activist of the 9th Company of the Maidan Self-Defence, which he later left. In the film "Zlam" ("Breaking Point") – the first in the series of investigations "In the Footsteps of the Revolution" – Bubenchyk stated that on February 20, 2014, he shot at security forces from the conservatory. According to the activist, he hoped in this way to force the "Berkut" units and the Internal Troops to retreat from the square. After the film's release, the Prosecutor General's Office questioned Bubenchyk as a witness and also searched his home.
On April 3, 2018, Bubenchyk was detained in Lviv Oblast. Law enforcement officers accuse him of killing two "Berkut" officers during the Revolution of Dignity.
