Korban's Arrest
On October 31, 2015, Korban was detained in his apartment in Dnipropetrovsk during a special operation by the PGO and the SBU.
He was charged under 4 articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: 255 (creation of an organized criminal organization), 191 (misappropriation and embezzlement of property: over the embezzlement of funds from the "Country Defense Fund"), 349 (taking a government representative or law enforcement officer hostage: over the abduction of the head of the State Land Agency Serhii Rudyk and the secretary of the Dnipropetrovsk City Council Oleksandr Velychko), and 289 (theft of motor vehicles).
The court was unable to place Korban under arrest because he complained of feeling unwell.
In September 2017, all charges against Korban were dropped and he fled the country.
On December 13, 2017, he returned to Ukraine.
