Lend-Lease, or the Act to Promote the Defense of the United States, is a policy under which the USA provides allies with free military aid. Lend-Lease covers ammunition, equipment, food, strategic raw materials, including petroleum products, and materiel.In all of history, Lend-Lease has been introduced only twice – the first time during the Second World War, and the second as a result of Russia's war against Ukraine.On May 9, President Joseph Biden plans to sign an order on Lend-Lease for Ukraine.
