Olena Ivanovska

Olena Ivanovska is a Ukrainian philologist, Doctor of Philology, professor and lecturer at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. 

On July 15, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Olena Ivanovska Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language. She replaced Taras Kremin, who was dismissed on July 2, 2025.

At Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Olena Ivanovska works at the Department of Folklore Studies.

In her time, the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language defended her PhD thesis on "The Folkloristic Heritage of Hanna Barvinok" and her doctoral dissertation on "The Subject-Image System of Folklore: The Categorical Aspect".

Olena Ivanovska's candidacy was proposed by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
